Bio
FromĀ when I was very young, I have been very expressive. As such I remember occupying myself with various expressive ways as miniature painting, dioramas, clay, drawing and others. Those were just my artistic childhood occupations and although each of them didn’t last long for me to be good at, I believe that they did their thing by setting some foundation for today. Later on there was a big pause on all such things until I went to Intergraphics college in Athens and graduated after attending for two years. After that time, I went to AKTO college also in Athens, for another two years and graduated with a BA of Art (honours) degree.
While still attending my studies and afterwards, I had the opportunity to work for Global Show Production at the creative department, for Intergraphics college as an instructor on speed classes, various freelance jobs and most importantly for Eyelead Software where I had the opportunity to work along with great artists and a great team, for the video game “Deathfall Chronicles” as an Environmental 3D artist.
Personal style
Apart from the fact that I like high contrasting images, with strong and clear silhouettes based on small color palettes, when it comes to it, I think of any visual art as I think of dreams. While dreams usually are obscured in visual clarity, they create strong feelings and because of that minimal visual detail they have, we usually try to recall them, clarify and explain them. In essence dreams have just about what is needed to tell a long story short.
As such I find myself in like of rough pictures, favoring obscured details and simple shapes over crystal clarity. Enough foundation for the obvious but not so much that breaks the disbelief in an instant. That way, I believe that the viewer becomes part of the picture. By trying to clarify the rest of the given concept, he/she is feeding his/her imagination and creating his/her own mental images, thus making the disbelief last longer, instead of giving away the whole story at once.
